You know that feeling you get when you’re about to take a big risk? I get a tingling butterfly feeling in my stomach when I’m feeling this mixture of scared and excited.

While the details and sensations are different for everybody, the feeling similar. And it’s a good thing. It means you’re challenging yourself to do something outside of your comfort zone and that’s how you grow.

If you only did things you already knew how to do, sure, you’d be comfortable, but you’d never see how far your could go, how much you could accomplish, how many people you could impact…

If it’s been awhile since you felt this way, what are you waiting for?

Start a list of things you want to do in the next 90 days. Things that are do-able but stretch your comfort zone a bit.

Make sure they include goals around:

  • Business & Career
  • Travel & Adventure
  • Entertainment
  • Friends & Family
  • Learning & Growth
  • Home & Environment
  • Your Partner

If you’re like most of my clients, you’ll have some areas that are easy to dream about and others where you’ll feel stuck or unmotivated to make goals.

That’s okay.

You can feel momentum by just focusing on an area that feels easy.

When you’re ready for a harder area, you’ll start by identifying your current mindset and how it’s holding you back, then reprogram that mindset to one of abundance and curiosity.

Sometimes people are able to do this on their own. Sometimes they prefer to work with a guide who’s trained to hear what they’re saying and what they’re leaving out, then ask great questions. Someone who can see through the excuses and gently guide them to become more of themselves. That could be a spiritual advisor, a therapist or a coach like me.
